Children & Youth Programs

CARES (Children's Abuse Response and Evaluation Services) Northwest
Support for the Care Management Support Program that provides at no cost to children and their families, Meal Vouchers, Bus Tickets, Over the Counter Treatments, Gift Cards, Snacks and Bottled Water. 

Children’s Cancer Association

Support for the Life Support Family Enrichment Program that helps families overcome financial crisis situations that affect the quality of life for their children battling cancer. 

National Kidney Foundation of Oregon & Washington
Scholarship support for Kidney Kids Kamp, a summer camping experience geared especially for kids with this unique physical and emotional need.  This camp addresses both the child’s and the family’s needs for education and support.

Gales Creek Camp Foundation
Funding to provide camperships for disadvantaged, low-income diabetic Children.  The Campership program is an income based tuition scholarship assistance program.

Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp
Support for the Campership Program of tuition assistance for low-income developmentally disabled campers. 

The Dougy Center
Support for the Dougy Center program offering on-going peer support groups for grieving children, teens, young adults and their family members dealing with the death of a loved one.

The Children's Relief Nursery
Support for the Direct Client Assistance Fund which enables CRN to make one-time financial contributions to families for a wide range of emergency expenses situations which prevent them from participating in the CRN program of therapy for children.


Health and Human Service

Downtown Chapel
Funding to support Open Door Ministries - Dedicated to serving the poor, providing healing and hope to homeless and disadvantaged individuals and families in Portland.

Portland Rescue Mission
Support for the Kitchen Remodel program at the Mission's Downtown location.  The Portland Rescue Mission serves over 700 meals a day, 365 days a year.

Sisters of the Road Cafe'
Support for the Hot Meals Barter Program that serves over 3000 hot meals to roughly 12,000 people annually.

Community Warehouse
Support for the Beds for Kids Program of collecting and distributing twin beds at no cost to low-income families and individuals.

Mercy Corps International
Support for the Clean Water Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Emergency disaster relief in Myanmar, Louisana, Haiti, and Japan.

Sunshine Food Pantry
Support funding to provide new refrigeration equipment at the food distribution center in Beaverton.  The Pantry provides food, clothing, toys and toiletries to over 500 families per month at no cost.

Transition Projects Inc.
Funding to replace worn and unhealthy mattressess at the 90 bed Men's Shelter in Portland.  The TPI Shelter also provides case management, life skills training, mental health counseling, and a computer lab to its guests.


Education
 

Catlin Gable School
Funding to establish a Mandarin Language Program to stress the importance of learning other languages primarily Chinese. In addition funding was provided for scholarship support for disadvantaged students attending and seeking to attend Catlin Gable School.

Children’s Museum – OPAL School
Support for low-income disadvantaged children participating in the Children's Museum's charter school educational program.  The Opal Public Charter School is a learning community of children, families, and teachers who place listening and relationships at the heart of their work.  This is supported by a strong emphasis on ocial emotional learning.
 

Community Transitional School
Funding to support the education of homeless children.
